In my view, I think "The Box" is a superb and well designed lighting system for macro photography. Specifically, the combination of daylight equivalent lighting, which is built into the doors, along with the fiber optic lighting, is a great combination when illuminating small colored diamonds and colored stones. This is specifically important when trying to get small colored gems to appear brilliant in the face-up direction."

Hello Ezequiel;

This system has been a great help.I'm using the system and a Nikon CoolPix 4800 camera to take inventory pictures for our website, digital inventory and auctions. Not only are the pictures coming out outstanding and need little cleaning up but the time saved and the use of the unit toopen a new market for us by way of the internetwill pay for the unit itself!

When an on-line customer requested details not listed in an item's description I was able to photograph the item do minimal "cleaning" to the picture and posted the item details within minutes. Normally without the lighting system it would have taken at least an hour to set up the lights, etc.

Today we had our first on-line sale and what lighting system did we use to take the incredible picture that we listed?.....The Box!

MK Digital Direct rocks!  This is not an understatement. 

We recently upgraded to a “Photo e Box” and couldn’t be happier.  I am not a photographer, and  with this new box, I am taking better quality  photos, good enough to put up on our website.  We’ re most pleased with the fact that we are saving time and money by taking in-house pictures of our jewelry.

I can’t say enough about the professional service I have received from MK Digital Direct.  From the sales representative, to the technical support staff,  they all have given me time and attention.  They have answered all my questions regarding my camera; they have walked me through the tutorial of how to improve the quality of images using the “Photo e Box” . 

The technical staff have even checked up on me with follow up emails.  In these fast space times, this is truly a rarity.

Just wanted to write a little note to thank you for the wonderful customer service and to tell you how happy I am with your product!I bought the Photo-eBox II a few months ago and am very pleased with it.

The unit itself is very easy to set up.

 

Understanding how best to utilize it and adjusting the settings on my DSLR were a bit more tricky. But I have to say that even though I am not a professional photographer, I have been able to get some really good pictures using the Photo-eBox II.

 

On my website, I have photos of jewelry taken previously and plan to upload my new photos taken with the photo ebox. These look dramatically better. I am excited to see how these will look and am sure they will improve the overall quality of my website!

"I have a small jewelry manufacturing and retail company and have been in business since 1964. Over the years I have spent a lot of money on professional photographs and have never felt that I got my moneys worth. The Gem eBox was an answer to my prayers!  I was taking pictures with a tent-like set up and constantly getting hot spots and shadows on my pictures, so frustrating.  Gems have to be the hardest things to photograph, the facets acting like little mirrors. The Gem eBox made taking pictures for my website so easy, eliminating the problems I was having.  I have had my Gem eBox for 3 years and it is set up right in my office. This has made it so convenient, especially when time is limited.
